There have been successful captains in India's cricket history such as Kapil Dev, Sourav Ganguly, Mohammad Azharuddin, Mahendra Singh Dhoni etc. All these captains had the ability to lead their team. Every team captain wants his team to won the match. The captain can get his strategy implemented in the cricket field, but the performance has to be done by all the 11 players of the team on the day of the match in the cricket ground, only then a team can win the match.

A Story of India cricket team successful Captain Sourav Ganguly:

Out of all successful captains, today we will talk about Sourav Ganguly. People also affectionately call him Dada. Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly, popularly known as Prince of Kolkata, was born on 8 July 1972. This left handed batsman from West Bengal, seeing his talent in the Indian cricket team in the world, took the Indian cricket team to the heights of heights. In the year 2000, when world cricket was under the shadow of match-fixing, the command of the Indian cricket team was given in the hands of Sourav Ganguly. Making Sourav Ganguly the captain of the Indian cricket team proved right. When the Indian cricket team was going through a bad time, then no one in the world was expecting that this team would ever win big tournaments at the world level in the near future. Then Indian team captain Sourav Ganguly's youth team was formed, in which Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, who got a chance to play in the team young players. This decision proved right when the Indian cricket team reached the final round of the 2003 World Cup. Even though the final match against Australia could not be won, it was a great achievement to play the World Cup final by taking out the bad times from which Indian cricket was coming out. The captain of a cricket team like Sourav Ganguly taught the Indian team as much. It is also said that Sourav Ganguly has been the captain of such an Indian cricket team, who made the Indian team go overseas to win matches. Learned so much in Test matches in the Indian cricket team under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly.

At the point when he was remembered for the Test squad for the away series in South Africa in 2006-2007. He finished as the most elevated Indian run-scorer in that series and covered his fantasy rebound with four half-hundreds of years on his re-visitation of ODIs. He proceeded with his fine spat England, where he completed as the second most elevated scorer in Tests, and proceeded to hammer consecutive hundreds against Pakistan at home, the second was a great 239 in Bangalore. In Australia, an unforeseen and glowing hundred at Brisbane set the vibe for the series where India battled the world's best group to a halt. Victory in Pakistan transformed him into a clique figure however rather than being a springboard for more prominent things, it was the pinnacle of a tricky incline.

Captain who build confidence of Team players:

He was such a captain of the Indian cricket team who wanted every test match as much as he thought about drawing the match. Ganguly's thinking led the Indian team to victory in 21 matches out of 49 Test matches, but it was a captain who always credited the team players for the victory. Out of these won test matches, 11 test matches have been won on overseas grounds. Such numbers gave a new identity to the Indian cricket team. After this week, Ganguly has also seen a bad phase in his career when he was dropped from the team because he was out of form, but this thing is associated in the career of every successful player. But Ganguly returned to the Indian cricket team in 2006. But after the back of this, Indian cricket saw a time when an international player Greg Chappell was made the coach of the Indian team, but the cricket coach and Sourav Ganguly did not match well and Sourav Ganguly was once again dropped from the team. It was done but he became part of the 2007 World Cup team again.
